Skin Care FAQ
At SANCTUARY we are not licensed to treat or diagnose any medical skin issues. More often than not, we can help with your skin concerns. If we consult you, observe your skin, and decide that a medical professional is needed, then that will be our recommendation.
Proper home care is recommended before any peel. Please schedule a Fundamental Facial or Dermaplane first so we can get you properly prepped and on the right home care so you will receive the most benefit from your peel treatment.

Hair Removal FAQ
At Sanctuary, we use some of the industry’s best products for all our services. For waxing, we use Nufree Nudesse. This product is not considered a wax and does not adhere to the skin. It is naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial so you know it will be safe, clean, and germ-free. It is completely botanical, scientifically tested, uses no animal products, and is made in the USA! You will love the results you get from this gold standard in hair removal!
Waxing is generally a safe procedure. Clients can enjoy longer lasting smoothness and finer hair growth after just one session. But caution needs to be taken with topical medications and certain skin care ingredients.
You need to wait a minimum of 6 months after using Accutane before you wax.
You cannot wax while using Retin-A.
Waxing can be performed while using some over the counter retinols, salycilic, and glycolic acids, but you need to stop using these products at least 7-10 days before your waxing appointment.
Not adhering to these guidelines may cause significant burning or scarring of the skin. Always disclose what kind of anti-aging or acne medications you are using so that the proper precautions can be used.
